2022 Membership Now Due
Membership fees for the 2022 year are now due. Thanks to COVID-19 it has been a while since you have paid your membership. For the 2022 year the membership fee has been increased to $15.00.
To ensure our records are accurate and up to date, you will need to fill in a membership form. One issue that became obvious during the pandemic was inaccurate contact information, particularly email addresses, because of transcription errors. You can enter your current contact details in this online form:
Alternatively there will be blank forms to fill in at the check in desk (and a long queue).
Annual General Meeting – Monday 4th April
A reminder that the club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 4th April at 9:00am in Cavenbah Hall before our normal training sessions. The most important item on the agenda is the election of new committee. In particular we need a new treasurer as our existing treasurer has resigned due to health issues.
From my personal experience with voluntary organisations, we need to encourage a regular turnover of committee members and office holders. New committee members bring a fresh outlook and perspective to the organisation whereas existing committee members (myself included!) tend to become a bit complacent and set in our ways.
Navigating through the pandemic has been difficult and stressful! There were times when we were uncertain if the club would survive. So some fresh faces and ideas would do wonders for the club!
Nominations for Committee:
To be nominated for committee you need to be a financial member, nominated and seconded by two members and have filled out a nomination form available from our secretary Kerin.
Here are the positions to be filled:
- President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Vice President
- 5 Committee Members
I look forward to a whole bunch of new faces on our committee in 2022!
